It shouldn’t take you longer to remove eyeliner and shadow than it does to apply them. For a clean face in less time, try these no-sting creams:

* Easy on the eyes. Kiehl’s Supremely Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover was our favorite. You’ll get to bed quickly — it cleaned with little effort and didn’t leave a tacky or greasy residue behind.

* Easy on the wallet. Nivea’s Visage Eye Make-Up Remover also did a neat job — “no smudging,” reported one of the testers — and has a gentle scent. But some panelists with sensitive skin noted a slight dryness.

Here’s the full report on all the brands of eye makeup removers our panelists tested, in order of preference:

Kiehl’s Supremely Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover:  Testers agreed this lotion was gentle! They loved that it cleaned quickly, without leaving a tacky or greasy residue behind.

Nivea’s Visage Eye Make-Up Remover:  Testers thought this lotion smelled the best. And, it performed almost as well as the winner.

Maybelline Eye Makeup Remover:  This liquid cleaned moderately well.

Physician’s Formula Eye Makeup Remover:  Some testers felt this fragrance-free liquid was drying.

L’Oreal Plenitude Eye Makeup Remover:  Some testers thought this liquid had a “clean, cooling effect,” while others reported a slight stinging sensation.

As for me, I love Dermalogica Makeup Remover it is the best. It is available at these spas
